Create a Wi-Fi QR code

Enter the network name and supported security settings to make a static QR image in your browser and download it as a PNG.

1. Enter network details

The password is used in your browser to build the code. Anyone who can see or photograph the QR image can read the network details inside it.

2. Customize the QR image

These settings change the PNG image only. The encoded content stays the same.

Where a Wi-Fi QR code is useful

A cafe, shop, office or home can display a code so guests do not have to type the network name and password. The code contains the details needed to join; it does not manage access or revoke a password later.

Keep the network details in mind: anyone who can see or photograph the code may be able to read its SSID and password. Display it only where you are comfortable sharing access. Change the Wi-Fi password if access needs to end.

How to make and test the code

  1. Enter the SSID exactly as configured on the router.
  2. Select WPA/WPA2-Personal or an open network. WEP and enterprise authentication are not supported.
  3. Create the code, scan it with another device and test the connection before printing.

The SSID, password and encoded QR value are not included in VietQR Help analytics events. The code is generated locally in your browser. Phone behavior can vary, especially on hidden networks, so test with the devices your guests use.

Quality verdict

Create a static Wi-Fi QR for WPA/WPA2-Personal or an open network. The tool checks the SSID byte limit and accepts personal-network passwords of 8–63 printable ASCII characters. Local tests decode the generated image, and analytics events exclude the network name, password and QR payload. Anyone who can read the code may see those details. A printed code also keeps the old password after you change it. Test the code on a phone and network your guests will use before displaying it. It works for basic guest access; it does not manage users or revoke access. Reviewed 11 October 2026 against local validation and QR-decoding tests.

Common questions

Will this work with every router?

The current tool supports WPA/WPA2-Personal and open networks. It does not encode WEP or enterprise authentication. Device behavior can also vary, so test the code before displaying it.

Can I change the password in a printed QR code?

No. The code contains the details used when it was created. Make and print a new code after changing the network name or password.
