Privacy Policy

1. Scope

VietQR Help is an independent tool for creating bank-transfer, link, and Wi-Fi QR images. This page describes what the app currently does in your browser and how aggregate usage statistics work. It does not replace the separate policies of banks, Cloudflare, or third-party services.

2. QR form data

Fields such as bank code, account number, recipient name, amount, transfer description, and shop name are read in your browser to create a bank-transfer QR code. VietQR Help does not have user accounts, receive money, or process bank passwords, one-time passcodes, PINs, or recovery codes.

Link QR codes and Wi-Fi QR codes are created in your browser with a self-hosted encoder. The link, SSID, password, and QR data for those two tools are not sent to VietQR Help's server to generate the code. The current bank-transfer QR flow may send the fields needed to the image service img.vietqr.io. PayLink stores some form fields in the URL fragment. Anyone with the link can read the data in it, so do not put confidential information in a form or PayLink.

3. Aggregate usage statistics

VietQR Help’s aggregate counter records page views, form interactions, and QR creation, download, copy, or print actions. Each record contains the event type, page path, timestamp, and duration when available. The counter does not create a persistent browser or session ID.

The counter reads page paths only. It does not read form values, query strings, or PayLink fragments, and it does not use cookies or persistent identifiers. Records are stored in daily files. Cleanup runs only after an event is written, at most once per UTC day. If cleanup does not run, files older than 30 days may remain on the server. Operational logs maintained by Nginx, Cloudflare, infrastructure providers, and the image provider follow separate policies.

Google Analytics 4 loads only after you select “Allow analytics.” If you make no choice or decline, the site does not load Google Analytics. When enabled, VietQR Help sends the page path and, when available, the referring path from this site without query strings or fragments. It also sends event names such as successful QR creation. The tag does not send QR form contents. Google may use cookies and receive technical browser and device data. Google says GA4 uses IP addresses to estimate location and discards them before Analytics data is logged. Data retention depends on the Google Analytics property settings and Google’s policies. Your Google Analytics choice is stored in your browser under vietqr-ga-consent-v1. Use the button below to change it. If you withdraw consent after accepting, the site blocks future GA requests and tries to remove Google Analytics cookies. This does not delete data Google has already received. VietQR Help’s separate aggregate counter continues to run with either choice. These statistics do not verify identity or count unique real people.

4. Advertising

Google Analytics is used for measurement only after you consent. Google AdSense and advertising code are not enabled. If the site adds advertising, it will be reviewed separately and this policy will be updated before advertising code is released.

5. Third parties

The bank list may be loaded from vietqr.app, and QR images may be created by img.vietqr.io. Use of these services is also subject to their respective provider terms and policies. VietQR Help does not include bank passwords or one-time passcodes in those requests.
