Bank transfer QR codes for businesses and individuals

VietQR is a format for bank transfer information supported by participating services in Vietnam. A customer can scan the code with a compatible banking app to review the recipient and enter or confirm an amount. VietQR Help is an independent tool; it does not require bank credentials and does not process transfers.

About VietQR Help

VietQR Help is an independent tool developed by Pham Hai to help individuals and small businesses prepare and share QR codes. The bank transfer feature is specifically for supported bank services in Vietnam.

Pham Hai works in Data Research & Lead Generation at Vietnam Cyberspace Security Technology JSC (VNCS). This professional information identifies the developer only. VietQR Help is not a bank, is not an official NAPAS website and does not process transactions.

How is the information you enter used?

VietQR Help processes form details in your browser to create a QR code. A transfer QR may send the information needed to create its image to img.vietqr.io; URL and Wi-Fi QR codes are generated in your browser using a self-hosted encoder, without sending form values to VietQR Help.

A PayLink stores form values in the URL fragment so a browser can restore them when opened. Anyone with the link can read those values. Do not include passwords, one-time codes or other sensitive information.

Before confirming a transfer, check the recipient name, bank and account number in your banking app.

Quality verdict

This page is useful when you need a transfer QR image for a supported Vietnamese bank account. Choose the bank and account number; the account name, amount and note are optional. The QR image comes from img.vietqr.io, an external service, so payment processing is not provided by VietQR Help. The page does not ask for bank login details, hold funds or confirm a transaction. We have not verified a real transfer or scanning across every app. Before printing or sharing, open the image, scan it with the recipient’s banking app, and check the recipient, account number and amount. A QR image is not proof that a payment succeeded. Reviewed on 11 October 2026 against the source flow and regression tests.

Frequently asked questions about Vietnam bank transfer QR codes

Is it free to create a transfer QR?

VietQR Help does not charge to create a code. Any bank service fees are determined by the bank.

Do I need to sign in to my bank?

No. Select a bank and enter an account number to prepare the QR image. Verify the recipient name before making a transfer.

Can I create a code for someone else’s account?

Only if you have accurate details and permission to use them. VietQR Help creates QR data; it does not handle or hold funds.

How does a PayLink work?

A PayLink stores form values in the URL fragment. When opened, the browser restores the details and creates the QR. Do not put passwords or one-time codes in a PayLink.

Does the QR guarantee a successful transfer?

No. The QR contains transfer details only. Confirm the recipient, account number and transaction result in your banking app.

Why will the QR not scan?

Check that the QR image finished loading and that the selected bank and account number are correct. Try a compatible Vietnamese banking app or download the image again. Verify the recipient details before making a transfer.

VietQR Help is an independent tool, not a bank or official NAPAS website, and it does not process transactions. Do not enter passwords, one-time codes or bank login details.
