VietQR HelpCreate a Vietnam transfer QR

How to print a payment QR code for a shop

A QR image can save customers from typing account details, but printing it does not confirm that a payment has gone through. Check the code on a phone and verify the recipient in the banking app.

1. Prepare the code

  1. Open the Vietnam bank-transfer QR tool and choose the bank that will receive the payment.
  2. Enter the account number carefully. Add a recipient name, amount or transfer note only when that detail should be prefilled.
  3. Create the code and compare the displayed bank and account details with the intended recipient.

A transfer QR is payment information, not a payment confirmation. Ask the customer to check the recipient in their own banking app. Confirm incoming funds through your bank, not from a screenshot or the QR image.

2. Test before printing

  • Scan the code from the screen with a second phone. Use a banking app that supports the relevant Vietnam transfer format.
  • Check the bank, recipient name and account number shown by the app. Do not confirm or send a test payment just to check the QR.
  • If an amount or transfer note is embedded, confirm that it is correct and can be edited as intended in the app.

3. Set up the print

Use the original PNG rather than a screenshot of a chat or preview. Keep the code square, preserve the clear border around it and avoid stretching, cropping or placing text over the pattern. A high-contrast black code on a light background is usually easier for phone cameras to read.

Choose paper size and scale in the print dialog, then inspect a test sheet at the distance a customer will scan it. There is no single physical size that works in every setting. The viewing distance, printer quality, lighting and phone camera all affect scanning.

4. Put it where customers can verify the recipient

Place the print where the code is visible but cannot be casually replaced or covered. If you display a business name or amount next to it, make sure that text agrees with the payment details. Re-scan the displayed copy after moving it or replacing the print.
